War Machine limits the War Machine Standard Warranty to the end-purchaser of the War Machine system.  The Standard Warranty covers the “Hardware” in the War Machine system.  Hardware excludes software and associated literature.

War Machine warrants that your War Machine system is free of defects in workmanship and materials for the duration of the warranty period; the standard warranty period for all War Machine systems is one (1) year unless otherwise stated on the purchase agreement.

Items Covered by the War Machine Standard Warranty

Definition of materials as covered under this warranty:

a)     Defects in third party components such as graphics cards, processors, memory (RAM), motherboards, disk drives, optical drives, or sound cards that are included in your original purchase.

b)     Defects in peripherals, such as keyboards, mice, monitors, external devices, or any such device sold as part of the overall system included in your final purchase.

c)      Defects in War Machine chassis or liquid cooling system.

d)     Physical damage to components purchased as part of the War Machine system caused as a result of malfunctioning components covered under this warranty.

e)     External power buttons and or switches on the system chassis that fail because of normal wear and tear in an unreasonably short amount of time (as determined by War Machine) and not a result of physical damage or abuse.

Definition of Workmanship as covered under this Warranty

a)     Improperly installed or configured components by War Machine.

b)     Damage caused by War Machine to systems or components entrusted to War Machine.

War Machine will either repair or replace (at War Machine’s sole discretion) defects in workmanship and materials in your War Machine system which arises during the warranty period.  If applicable, War Machine will repair or replace their defective hardware or component with a new or equivalent part.

An “equivalent part” is defined as a component that functions in a comparable manner to the original parts of the date of purchase, and does not imply or suggest that a component may be replaced with a superior component. A “top of the line” component at the time of purchase will not necessarily be replaced with a “top of the line” component when the claim under Warranty is submitted.  “Equivalent” means that every effort will be made by War Machine to find a replacement component that matches the performance level of the original component if that exact component is no longer available.

The purchaser will not be charged for parts or labor for services obtained under this Warranty.  Upgrades or additional costs incurred by the request of the purchaser while a system is in the possession of War Machine are not covered under this Warranty.  Where the defective hardware has been replaced, the removed defective component becomes the property of War Machine.  Should your War Machine system require servicing under the terms of this Warranty, the hardware repair or part replacement will not extend the term of this Warranty.

Items Not Covered by the War Machine Standard Warranty

This warranty does not include:

a)     The routine replacement of parts due to normal wear and tear.  This includes but is not limited to fans, lighting, manuals, CD’s, and peripherals.

b)     Any defect or damage to the hardware attributable in whole or in part by improper use, abuse, improper handling/installation, maintenance/repair by any person other than an official War Machine service technician, or the installation of unapproved parts.

c)      Damage caused during shipment.

d)     Data retention, storage or availability of data.

e)     Software, including the operating system, drivers, and any other software that is installed on a system sold by War Machine, or any damage caused as a result of such installed hardware.

f)        Damages caused by improper maintenance or lack of maintenance, or failures caused by dust, dirt, or smoke.

In addition, this Warranty does not cover any defect or damage to your War Machine system attributable in while or part to accident, unauthorized modifications, attachments or peripherals, and damage caused by lightning, power surge, brown-out, leaking, or connection to a power source having a different rating than that specified on your power supply and motherboard manual.

This Warranty also does not cover damage to your War Machine system attributable in whole or part to: fires, earthquakes, floods, natural disasters, acts of terrorism, or acts of vandalism.  In addition, War Machine will not be liable for any delay or failure in performance experienced as a result of failure under this Warranty.

War Machine Warranty and Overclocked Systems

Because of the nature of “overclocking” (increasing performance of certain components beyond manufacturers recommended limits), certain aspects of this Warranty shall be deemed void if the end user so chooses to have certain components overclocked.

Overclocking of components that is done by War Machine as part of a system design will not void or negate any aspect of this Warranty.

A purchaser who overclocks their War Machine system beyond what War Machine has already overclocked it to does so at their own risk and forfeits the ability to claim under this Warranty for damages.

Extent of War Machine’s Liability Under This Warranty

Once War Machine has been notified of a problem that falls under the scope of this Warranty, War Machine shall be allowed a reasonable length of time and a reasonable number of attempts to replace/repair or otherwise correct defective hardware once the system or component is in War Machine’s possession.

Exclusion of Warranty

Obtaining Service Under This Warranty

To obtain servicing under this Warranty, you must notify War Machine.  Call War Machine’s Support Department at 1-888-979-2979 or email at support@projectwarmachine.com.  Please have your invoice information available.

War Machine’s Support Department will assist and attempt to diagnose your problem over the telephone or email.  If the problem remains unresolved, War Machine will decide on the best course of action based on the specifics of the particular circumstances.

War Machine shall be allowed a reasonable length of time and a reasonable number of attempts to repair/replace or otherwise correct defective hardware.

Third Party Warranties

The War Machine Warranty does not exclude coverage of third-party warranties.  Components that are replaced by War Machine under this Warranty may possess their own warranty from a third-party manufacturer.

Third-party warranties on components that are part of the War Machine system may extend beyond the span of the War Machine Warranty.  By accepting the provisions of this War Machine Warranty, you do not necessarily exempt yourself from these third-party warranties.

However, it should be known that modifications done by War Machine to system components may potentially void these third-party warranties.  War Machine is not responsible for any losses and/or damages incurred as a result of voiding third-party warranties.

War Machine LCD Warranty

While your LCD is covered under our normal Warranty plans, due to the nature of LCD displays, your LCD will be considered defective if (6) six or more pixels fail or your LCD is inoperable.

Physical damage to the LCD such as scratches, cracks, pressure damage, and image burn will not be covered under this Warranty.

Shipping Damage Information

Any items received by customers in a damaged state must be reported to War Machine within 48 hours.  All packaging, materials and items contained within the packaging must be retained.  Failure to contact War Machine or retail your original packaging may result in no claim being filed with War Machine, and a charge may be placed on your account for the damaged item if claimed at a later date.  War Machine limits it’s liability on shipping damage to the same extent as the covered by the shipping company used.
